Winter Fuel Payment and Pension Credit

Unfortunately, people with older age and no incomes experience poorer health but there is support available such as Pension Credit and Winter Fuel Payments.
Are You Eligible for Pension Credit or Winter Fuel Payments?
If you are of state pension age, you could be eligible to increase your weekly income by claiming Pension Credit. An average Pension Credit weekly award is £3,900 per year (Feb 2024), with the exact amount depending on the money you already have.
You might be entitled to Pension Credit, even if you have savings, a private pension or own your home. By claiming Pension Credit, you may also get extra help, including:
Dental costs
Rent payments and council tax
The Winter Fuel Payment
A free TV licence if you are over 75
