Advice for Carers

Are you a carer?

If you look after a friend or relative who cannot manage without your help, you are classed as a carer.  We would like to support you in your very important role.

As a carer, you are entitle to a free flu vaccination during the flu season.  The person you look after may be entitled to a carers assessment.

Please contact the practice and tell us that you look after someone who cannot manage without you.  We can register you as a Carer and sign post you to services who can help you, such as Carers Count and The Carer's Trust.

Even if you are not a patient of ours, we can still provide you with a range of information to enable you to register as a carer at your own practice.

Linda Flanagan is our Carer's Champion and is on hand to answer any questions you may have.  There is also a notice board full of Carers information and useful leaflets in the waiting room at The Grange Group Practice.
